Hi there, I'm new, or we are new. I have two boys, 14 and 12 and we live on 10.5 acres. We want to be farmers and self sufficient. We've been growning organic vegetables since we moved here with the garden getting bigger every year. We purchased chicks last summer and now have 14 total keeping us busy. We also have two indoor cats, Midnight and Leo. I am a lifetime subscriber to Mother Earth News and Hobby Farms magazines and heard about Backyard chickens thru them, checked it out and I love it. I've learned so much browsing around here I just had to be a part of it. I'm really looking forward to sharing stories and pictures with everyone and learning more about chickens!!!
