Hello from Tennessee

We have a covered run set up already, my hubby will be building the coop this weekend. We bought a brooder but upon setting it up I don't think it will be big enough after a couple weeks so we will be doing something different. I wish we could free range but we, unfortunately, have many stray neighborhood cats. Also, we live in town on a bit less than 5 acres and I don't want the chickens bothering my neighbors' yards and gardens.
Welcome to BYC, a font of experience and knowledge! :caf

Have you got your coop and run set up yet? :celebrate

Pictures, post pictures!

How many chickens are you planning on having? Bantam or standard?

Those numbers are important when you plan your coop build. You'll need a certain amount of square footage for each chicken. And chicken math = more chickens than you plan for!

@3KillerBs has a great article on ventilation here, I'll try to go find it for you.
