They are Isa Browns. We were supposed to get RIR but the shipment didn't come in so these were subbed. We bought a brooder from Tractor Supply and then afterwards read some bad reviews about it, however, my husband modified the brooder plate so that it is lower and so far it seems to be working well. They have been all over the brooder, eating and drinking and exploring. Now that it's starting to get dark they are starting to quiet down and are loosely huddled underneath the heat. I've heard that quiet chicks are happy chicks so I think they must be pretty happy in there!
