Hello, new guy here.

We have (4) chicks in a brooder in the guest room. Moving them to the backyard soon.

We have (2) Blue Copper Marans and (2) Lavender Marans.

It's been a blast so far. Other than they can't seem to figure out the new chicken nipple watering system.

We have a small coop with a run so they are getting some outside time as weather and our schedules allow.

Looking forward to learning!

I built a 5-gallon bucket watering system using the nipples. I just tapped the nipple with my fingers until they came over an did the same. They saw the water coming out as I was tapping it.

I no longer use that system. But that's how I got them to drink from it.

All of our coops and pens have nipple waterers. Even new adult chickens just watch the others and catch on. It shouldn't be more than a day. Just make sure to remove all other sources of water.
