Our young peacock escaped right after we got him, he was just about the same age as yours at that time, & decided to stay across the road at our neighbors. We waited until night & were able to catch him because he was roosting. A lot of people use large fishing nets with success. You might want to wear gloves & something with thick long sleeves. They can really tear your arms up if you're not careful of the spurs & nails.
