(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I have raised chickens for a few years. I have only experience with egg layers and have kept my butchering to a few unfortunate hens that ended up being roos.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Right now zero.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Currently no birds. I have experience with Leghorns (Queens of the egg layers), Cochins (partridge) not big layers but friendly, beautiful birds. Rhode Island reds friendly and awesome, Orpingtons (Buffs) another wonderful layer with a great disposition.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I have been visiting BYC for years. I stumbled onto BYC during some sort of info search about my chickens.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Woodworking, restoring furniture, restoring old cars, photography, handicrafts.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have been married for 34 years our 3 children are grown. Currently, two small dogs wonder the back yard. I work for the Federal Government for the last 38 years. Looking into raising meat chickens and German Angora rabbits.
