Howdy and welcome! There's a few "empty nesters" on here. Lots of Texas folks too. What type of chickens did you have before? And have any particular breeds caught your fancy yet?

I used to have some Rhode Island Reds hens, they were really nice! I've always been a really big fan of Cochins, their feathers are really pretty to me. I'm not sure if I can find any in my area though, as most of the vendors here sell Rhode Island's or Leghorns.
