If you haven't started your coop/run yet, we have a Coop Forum with lots of great ideas and some have instructions even. You'll find some "open air" types that may be better for where you are.

Thank you, and I've already started looking at coop designs (our old coop had to manage sub-zero weather), and it looks like an open design with hurricane protection is going to be a must.
