My chicks are comming home this weekend.Breed unknown, neighbor had a hen go broody and hatch out.Know a little about country chickens. These are not fragile chicks and have been touching since hen would let me.They have imprinted on me!..Will have questions because my ma was in charge of chickens when I was a kid.I just cleaned, fed and watered per her directions. Thanks for being here!.

Welcome to BYC! Just post any questions you may have on the forum and I'm sure you will get lots of replies. What kind of chickens do you have?

As far a type we are not sure.Mom is white, medium size with small streak of black under her eyes,Dad could be heavy bodied multicolored rooster or medium boddied crested.Chicks range from black to white and red.
Neighbors have different types all free range.
Hen could of hatched out not just her eggs, but another ladies too!.
Neighbors chickens literally free range with no restraints!.The chicks are free, they appear very healthy. Southern Country Chicks is their dubbed breed for me!

If your decide you want to know what breeds they are, just post pictures of them and maybe we can help you identify them. In the meantime, good luck with your flock.
