Hello and welcome to BYC! I have a standard Cochin. She has such a unique personality! I too, really got hooked on chickens the first week. I said no more the two to raise and I went out and bought 6 more.

Now I want to hatch a couple and keep them. Chickens are awesome!
 
I'm from Virginia also. In the mountains west of Charlottesville. We have had chickens for 20+ yrs, and I manufacture a portable chicken coop
