I found this awesome website about 1 1/2 years ago and I just now became a member! I got 11 layers last March and one beautiful, nasty Rooster. I have 2 RIR, 2 Barred Rocks, 2 Silver Laced Wydottes, 2 white chickens that I have yet to know what they are, 1 EE, 1 Black Link, 1 Polish Top Hat and a Buff Orpington Rooster. I also have a Mallard Drake.
After reading about raising broilers, I tried to raise 25 of them. It didn't go so well. I ended up have 6 birds for the freezer. I'm not giving up, I order 55 broilers and they are coming the first week in March!
My other animals are: 3 dogs, a cockatiel and many fish. I do agility with 2 of my dogs and have competed with one of them. I'm getting a goat in May.
Besides raise chickens and training dogs, I also dance ballet.
