Hello from the high desert

  1. This is my first post, but I'm a long-time lurker. I keep Orpingtons, Lavender and Buff, Black Copper Marans-feathered legs, Silver and gold laced Wyandottes, White Plymouth Rocks and various mutts. Currently, we are incubating Crested Cream Legbars and Swedish Flower eggs. We hope to add white Jersey Giant also this year, and then take rest. I love my birds and spend a great deal of time out in the runs with them, visiting and keeping the grounds very clean. I am interested in improving my Marans with a rooster from out of my locale. I really appreciate this forum for all that I've been able to learn here, so thanks to all.

Hello there and welcome to BYC! [IMG]

So glad you could join our community!!

Chickens are so enjoyable to keep. I too love to go sit with them and interact with them. My birds are huge on the lap sitting. LOL Cleanliness is the key to good health in chickens!!

Great to have you aboard and welcome to our flock!

Good luck with your flock! It sound like you have a lovely variety- Wyandottes especially are one of my favorite breeds. I hope the hatch goes well, too!
