I have twelve Bantams (ornamental) and five Cayuga ducks (who have taken over my Koi and Goldfish water garden). We built our own chicken house complete with insulation and windows to the south and east to catch the morning sun. We use an automatic timer to turn on a heater when it gets below 35 degrees and shuts off when it gets to 45 degrees. I joined this forum about a year ago but have not really visited a lot. Spring makes me feel like turning in again. Welcome to all of you just joining and I value the posts by those of you who have been active in this forum all along.
