Missouri Ozarks
At the insistance of Nifty-Chicken, I will finally introduce myself after lurking BYC for several years. I'v been raising RR's and Black Australorps (currently 25 hens) for eight years for eggs. My passion is White, Blue, Black, and Splash Silkies. I have been breeding and raising them for 7 years. I became NPIP certified in 2009 and showed sucussfully for the first time last year. Right now I have about 30 silkie eggs in the incubator and learned last year that you have to hatch 50 to get one or two that are show worthy..... Lots of work! I've learned lots from post here at BYC.

Thanks Nifty-Chicken for the boot to get me typing!

Kenny

Hi I am from Mo. too.
Where did you show this last yr? Are you apart of the American Silkie Bantam Club? I just happen to be the Mo. rep for the Silkie Club. If your not part of the club, I would encourage you to be part of it. http://www.americansilkiebantamclub.com
There will be a show in Sedelia, on April 17th...if you already didn't know, by the Mo. State Poultry Association. It will be a double show. I will be showing my whites, black, blue, splash, blue partridge and Lavenders.
