Whooooaaaa! Is this forum cool or what????
Well I did it! I came home yesterday from getting fence supplies and I had nine brand new baby Bantam chicks with me. Along with a heat bulb, feed, grit and a new waterer!
I've never had Bantam's before! I had some large white layers when I was way back in junior highschool. Then in my 30's I had a half dozen Rhode Island Red hens (which I adored). and now that I am in my 50's I figured it was time for some little Banties.
Here's just a smidge more about me. Grew up on farm. I now have Belted Galloway cows (21 counting calves), three horses (QH), 9 dogs (I workd with a Min Pin rescue) and I also have 5 canaries (kitchen singers). I'd have a lot more if I could! but am trying to hold myself to a minimum! Oh yeah--- I have one hubby and no children! Go figure!
I can't wait to explore this forum and site!!!! Am thinking of naming my nine little peepers after charachters in the Wizard of Oz. Not sure yet. They are THE cutest little creatures!!! So busy and then heads down and sound asleep!
