Thank you! Your girls are beauties. I recognize the Barred Rock, are the other two a Golden Laced Wyandotte and a Speckled Sussex?

I like my BR and she lays an L-XLg egg but not very frequently hope she picks up in spring. Just 2-3 per week. My SS and Golden Buffs lay more often large eggs. The Golden Buffs lay the most. Have fun with the babies. Gorgeous blue eggs.
Thanks, your girls are beautiful too! I bet Ophelia will be so happy to have new friends! She'll enjoy showing them all the best places to dust bathe and scratch for treats. I really would suggest getting them together as soon as you can...
Didn't mean to go on and on, sorry. Oh, do you have a dust bath for your chicks? A shallow container of dry dirt or sand is really fun for them to play in. And a chunk of sod from your yard will help them build their immunities, and they'll enjoy pecking and scratching it. Ok that's all for now... have fun with your birdies... you're doing a great job!

Haha little chicks are so cute when they discover something new! Mine wouldn't touch the dust bath for a day or 2 either, then when my little EE figured it out she kept pushing the others away and hogging the whole thing.I'm definitely working on this. Looking at our coop to see if there is any way to get them out there asap. The dog crate for sure will not fit inside the coop.
.........
No worries. Love all the information. I have been putting chunks of sod from the yard in with them and adding some chick grit, they love tearing them apart. I made a dust bath for them and had been waiting for the sand to dry out. Put it in with them this morning and they have not yet tested it out (funny video though - guess I need to sign up for a youtube account to be able to share).
10? 10 years?! She is gorgeous!this is a picture of Thelma, GLW. She will be 10 next month
