Hello, we are J2AK, a family getting into the fun of chicken raising. We have 8 hens and 2 roosters, mixed breeds of Mille D’ Uccles, Bantams, Silkie, leghorns, and one cute little olive egger. We’ve only ever raised 2-3 hens at a time and decided now that we have mlre space to offer it would be fun to increase our flock size. Our daughters are 4H members and learning to care for and raise chickens has become their main interest and we thought it a great idea to add BYC as a fantastic resource for them to keep the learning growing.
