Hello everyone
I have been following this form for a while and have finally decided to join. We have 4 barred rocks, 16 red rangers and one I don't know on the way. They will be arriving form Murray McMurray the first week of August. This is our first chicken adventure.

Hi and welcome! And that adventure only continues to get better. Keep us updated when the little ones arrive and yes, lots of pictures!

You still have time to make up a brooder for them, then start a coop and run. That will make the days fly by.

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Good luck with your chickens! Please feel free to ask any questions.

When they first arrive be sure to check for pasty butt, give them water and keep them warm. Don't hold them much on the first day; let them get used to their surroundings. Good luck with them!!

Be sure to check out our learning center where you'll find lots of helpful info.

Here is a picture of the brooder my wife gave me for my birthday. I am still designing and throwing around ideas for the chicken tractor I want to build.
