Hello,
I've had pekin bantams for five years now, currently with an older flock of five hens: our matriarch Scoop (one of our originals), three year old Kyru, and our one year olds Pitch, and two frizzles Effie and Fizzgig. I bought hatching eggs for the first time this year and our broody Effie successfully hatched all six - mixed colours and three frizzles. They're now four weeks old and fluffy handfuls of trouble! They're the reason I stumbled across this excellent forum while looking for advice on preparing for and raising chicks.
Aside from my chooks, I'm also crazy about SciFi, cosplay, and writing books. Currently hunting for what my husband calls a real job now my three not so little monsters don't need me staying home so much.
