Hello everyone!
I've lurked and read for a while now so I've decided to take the plunge and sign up and try to be a member of the community here.
I've grown up around chickens but moved away for university, I kept going back to my parents to feed and deal with their hens and it wasn't until recently I realised how much I missed dealing with them. I'm set to move to a bigger place with a bigger garden in a few months so I'll be starting up a flock of my own.
Well that was the plan anyway, my dad gave me an incubator and told me if I can hatch them out, he will look after them until I'm in the new place. So this weekend I'll be getting the incubator but I won't be starting to attempt to hatch straight away. I planned to have a week\two weeks dry run attempting to keep a steady temp and humidity whilst working shifts, I hope I can manage.
Sorry for the essay.... Hi!

and Welcome To BYC! Good luck with the move and with the planned hatch, those couple of weeks will give you time to decide what eggs you want to set! You might also like checking out the UK thread for any chicken keeping neighbors
