We thought we would stop lurking and join in! We had peafowl in the past, but now have a dozen laying hens purchased last spring as new chicks. Our neighbors seem relieved that none are roosters. We borrowed stacks of books from our local library and did online research before selecting our girls and our search often led us to BYC. We especially enjoyed the articles on bedding & feed options.
