Wasn't sure what to post so I'll follow the question suggestions.
I had chickens when I was a child, we lived in the city (lost most of that flock to a wandering dog)
Just got chickens again this year. Our first few mid-May and second batch a week later. We lost a few chicks and now have 10 chickens.
We have 2 Black Australorps, 2 "Americanas" (I unknowingly bought them thinking they were Ameraucana), 3 starlight green eggers, 2 buff Orpingtons and a golden laced Wyandotte.
They're now around 12-13 weeks old.
Favorite aspect of backyard chickens.. Probably just watching them they're very funny animals.
Other hobbies, Video games, reading, watching tv/anime/movies, drawing.
Uhm, I live in the countryside, homemaker.. when my chickens are fiully grown they'll will be allowed to free range but for now they're in a covered pen that we move regularly.
Eventually I'll post photos to try and get some of my chickens to get them sexed, they don't like being still, even when bribed with food so I'll have to have my husband take pictures while I hold them soon. I bribed them with some banana today to get a few pictures.
And I found BYC through google trying to see what other people's starlight green eggers looked like
e
The red/whites and the mohawk are starlight green eggers. Fluff faces are the knockoff Ameraucana
