Hello from Toledo Oh

Hey everyone! This is my first year with backyard chickens. I have 11 little chicks and my family and I are really enjoying watching them grow. I do have a question I would like to get your opinions on. I bought 6 bantam from TS. They told me they were silkie chicks but I really don't think they are. They have only 4 toes and don't have black skin. I will attach some pics. Let me know if you have any ideas of what breed they might be.

I don't keep silkies, so I can't tell you what breed they are. But they sure are cute!!! There will be others stop by here to welcome you to BYC and should be able to help you more than I have here.

Hello and Welcome To BYC! You might want to post on the What Breed Or Gender Is This forum, can you tell what comb types any of them have? the first looks a lot like a Buff Brahma, Cochins, and the ones with cheek puffy may be Porcelain d'Uccles?

Not silkies, not even a silky mix - don't even look like hatchery silkies

Welcome to BYC. My first guess was Cochins, but then I noticed the puffy cheeks. Perhaps they are d'uccles of some variety. You are correct in that they are NOT silkies.
