Also on goats - visit the NW Oregon Dairy Goat Association ( https://nwodga.org/current-members ) - usually they have a big clinic kind of thing in February every year, though with Covid I don't know what the plans for 2022 include - anyways, it's an event where you can take a variety of classes depending on your particular interests and find folks who have the types of goats you wish to consider keeping.

Quite welcome, I went the first year I had goats. I hope they're holding it this year -- but with Omicron they might have had to throw in the towel this year too.

This is the class list from 2020 --- https://nwodga.org/conference --- based on the home page not having any upcoming events, I'm guessing they're not doing one this year either. Maybe in 2023, great way to meet people.
