Hello from TX

Hi, I’ve had chickens years ago and grew up with them but I’m learning so much since I’ve started again in a new place. I’ve got 37 chickens, 9 of them are brand new babies that a couple mamas decided to hatch. Of course it happened as soon as I moved my new juveniles out of the brooder :D They’re roaming on a few acres we fenced in. Anyway, I’m here to get advice and learn as much as I can, seems like I never did anything right before but was lucky enough to not have any major problems.
Welcome to BYC!! :)

:welcome from Central Texas! I just love broodies and their babies! It makes everything so much easier!
I’m between Dallas and Tyler, these girls are amazing. I’m so impressed with them, lol. And the rest of the flock is being super sweet and good with the babies. One of my Roos is super sweet, he’s been picking up bits to try and help feed the babies and neither mama tries to run him off. He’s just so curious and has been trailing behind the mamas like he wants to help parent. I just love it. I was so stressed raising the older chicks in a brooder and then integrating them, I’m so relieved to not have to worry about it with this group. Nature is awesome ❤️
