BYC has been so valuable in providing much needed info! I'm just a grandpa who let grandma talk him into getting eight chicks to let our grandkids enjoy and learn. Seems like I am the one with so much to learn. The different breeds, the coops, and all that goes into keeping my little ladies happy, keeps me on my toes. Looking forward to learning more each day. Hi Gary,
I'm new to this chicken thing too, picked up 16 pullets Buff Orpingtons and Plymouth rocks two weeks ago. I'm in the middle of building a coop and run. How's the weather up there? I'm in Orange County , but I have a trailer on the river in Clayton. Still kind of cold here. No fun working on the coop in the snow. Good luck with the peepers.
