Is there a chance your could exchange them at Rural King? Tell the manager they were sold to you as good layers. If they don't do anything about it, I would complain to corporate office. I've heard that employees in similar stores, don't know anything about chickens - they might have been selling chain saws and sent to cover someone who didn't show up for work . They really don't care - just sell the birds.
 
What's really troublesome is that it was written on a large sign directly over the birds. The chicks are healthy and active, so I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask if they would exchange them.
 
Good news! I found someone who will take the Cornish Rocks. I have debated keeping them for my own use, but I'm not positive that I could do it. :-)
