Hello, fellow chicken farmers! I've written a couple posts and have researches atleast a few hours worth of chicken knowledge from this sight... But, I've yet to formally introduce myself! I live in the foothills of Mt Rainier, in good Ol' Washington State.
My husband and I recently decided to buy a couple chicks and become "chicken farmers"! I am absolutely loving every aspect of it! I started out with 6 Buff Orpingtons from the local feed store. Then added a couple Lavender Orpington chicks. They are now 3-3 1/2 weeks old and are doing great! For some reason I just feel that Orpingtons are the Labrador Retrievers of chickens. I just love the little things, so i chose to stick with this breed for my first. And I just happen to have to Yellow Labs. Anyways, enough rambling... look forward to getting to know more of you. Here are some pictures to make the thread a little more exciting!
