I'm new to raising chickens. I actually just put my coop together today and I hope to get my chickens next week. I can't wait to get started.

I'm getting peeps from the local farmers co-op. I've made a brooder out of a plastic tub and I'll be keeping them in the garage under a heat lamp until they are fully feathered. I can't Waite for the eggs and this is going to be a great lesson in responsibility for my son.

I must say thank you for the warm welcome and I look Foreward to interacting with everyone on this site. I know I'll have tons of questions once I get started. The learning center is AWSOME. It gave me answers to a lot of my questions and it brought to light many things I had not thought of.
