Hi there, I live just outside of Seattle and became a new chicken mama about two weeks ago. My chicks were born last Monday and all 5 are doing well and growing like weeds. I've been creeping on threads here over the past few weeks (learned so much about poop 
). I had purchased a prefab coop online I was intending to modify just to make sure we had SOMETHING, but now getting a little concerned that I should be building my own - seems to be a resounding yes from this community. If anyone has good advice for someone without building experience for a coop + run, please let me know! I have very basic tools (hand saw, drill, etc.) and could probably borrow or buy some more, but some of the plans are intense. Thanks so much, happy to be here!
