Put some Blue cote on her beak wound, it would mask the blood and stop the others pecking it. Good luck and hope they get themselves sorted soon.

Pretty much normal chicken behavior. The social life of chickens can be cruel. If the marans does not settle down, remove her for several days and allow the other two to settle in - then add the marans. It may serve to adjust her attitude. Good luck.

Thankfully, things are calming down and the girls seem to be getting along pretty well now. My Maran has quickly made herself leading lady but hasn't been physical with my sweet Orpington anymore that I have seen. It sure has been interesting to watch the way they work. Within two days I can clearly see the pecking order that has been made between the three of them and the different personalities they are all showing. Even with my Maran, "Shelby" being the little boss, she has been quite sweet when we hold her :) The middle lady "Sylvia" my barred rock doesn't care to be held muc and little" Puffy" the Orpington doesn't mind a bit :)

I have to coax "Puffy" out of the roost in the mornings while the other two have been scratching around for likely hours in the coop already. So, it looks like she is keeping her distance inside the coop. They still are sleeping separated at night. Puffy was on a perch and the other two snuggled together in the shavings. Oh well, at least they are not fighting, I just hope she can stay warm enough with no other body next to her to keep warm.
