There is a Farm King in Macomb. I'm not sure if you can order through them though.

Yeah I called the farm king to see if they do custom orders. They do, and I heard the lady say a minimum of 5 for a custom order. Well, when I went to the store I was told 25 was the minimum for a custom order. I suspect that I heard 5 because that is what I wanted to hear. And yet, it doesn't make much sense to do custom orders of 25 because then why would you order through Farm King if you have to order 25? Why not order directly from the hatchery?

So anyway, that isn't going to work for the moment because I don't want that many chickens!

The other breeds they sell at Farm King might work, but they only sell straight runs and I'm too worried I'd end up with 3 roosters and 2 hens and what would I do with the extra roosters? I do live in the country so the noise is not really the issue, but I wold be worried about the fighting.

Ang recommended Farm and Home Supply in Keokuk. I called them and they use Cackle hatchery and said they didn't have a minimum for custom orders, but that it would be April 15th before I could do a custom order. So, that is another option.
