thank you. Yeah I love when they all stampede towards me when i head to the coop in the morning. So funny to watch them run.

Well of course! Its just good manners to flap back lol.
I used to have 4 roosters once upon a time. This was back when i bought my first chicks and before i knew what "straight run" meant haha.
Well long story short I found out one evening that we had a fox problem. Two foxes came and in a one night killed half of my flock. Oddly enough they didn't take them. Just drug them out of the coop, killed them, and left them there for no reason.
So 3 of those were roosters. After that incident that last rooster was never the same. He became increasingly aggressive. Flogging everyone and everything that came in the coop. It got to the point to where he was making most of my hens go bald and holding them down and pecking at them repeatedly (he wasn't mounting them, just pecking and pulling feathers out over and over). I was worried about my hens losing to many feathers and not making it through the winter, so for the sake of my remaining hens I had to put the poor bird down. I've been meaning to get another rooster so i can start raising my own chicks but i just haven't gotten around to it yet tbh.
