Welcome to BYC!! Your flock and coop look amazing! So many RIRs!!Hello all, I wanted to start with a big thank you to the community! I referred to info on this site the most during my build and chicken raising geek out. My name is James and I have a family of 5.
We started our first chicken adventure in February by buying 25 pullets from a farmer, 75 miles away. A friend wanted the same amount and had a barn, so I was tasked with picking them up. They stayed with him for 6 weeks until I had my coop and run built. 25 Rhode Island Reds showed up at my house at about 18 weeks old.

The run is 27x20, filled with 8" of wood chips. 12-15 yards worthThis is also the start of the compost factory.

Roll away egg box, built into the side of a shed that my dad built from scrap, 20 years ago. I did a 2nd floor/ poop board setup under the roosts. I use deep litter on the floor and the upper deck area. I later installed a 12" fan, misters and a big shade cloth over the run. Also trenched water and power to the coop, ran with a wifi sprinkler setup.
Feel free to ask for specific pictures, I have a lot.

If you cant tell, I am very proud of my family and our creation. We currently can barely keep 2 dozen eggs in stock, everyone loves them and wants to buy them. We get anywhere from 18-24 a day, with 24 hens.
