Hello from Willow Spring, North Carolina....

I am new to the "raising my own chickens". After a length discussion with my fiance, Robert, and my daugthers, Hannah and Lori, we are venturing in on this new and exciting experience of raising chickens in our back yard.

With five dogs (2 Golden Retrievers, 1 Goldend Lab, and 2 puppies which are the results of the Golden Lab and one of our Golden Retrievers) and 2 cats, I always wanted to raise chickens. So here we go, with our chicken coop built, by Robert, and painted by the girls, I have lots of questions.
