I've been checking out this site for the last couple weeks and have really gained a lot of knowledge. Seems like every question I may have has been answered here. I am not new to poultry, I raised them for 4-H as a kid, but it has been many years. I live in town but luckily enough the city passed a backyard hen ordinance last fall. I just brought home six chicks last week (even though I'm only technically allow four, that's chicken math for you) and they seem to be doing great. With our normal up and down spring temps I opted to keep them in the house till they are feathered out but I can't wait to put them to work in my garden and look forward to the eggs!

Welcome to BYC and back to keeping poultry. Once it's in your blood it never leaves.
