Thank you all for your input. It is all good info. I am in Port Washington, WI right on Lake Michigan. My plan was to have maybe 4 chickens to start.

So from what I am reading I can put them in a covered run and move the run around my yard every day and they will be okay. Come winter they will pretty much stay in coup with regular food, water and some heat if I can get it in there?

I am sure I will be back with more questions as I read more.
