Though I am new to posting, I have found these forums to be valuable sources of information for my own little flock. I actually started out with chickens back in 1997 when I found a sweet littleSilkie-Cochin mix hen at a flea market. Jenna quickly made herself at home--literally in my home-- and for 13 years she was my sweet little Best Girl. Almost 4 years ago I was given a small flock of chicks, I think the best description for them is sex link and dominique crosses-- that I have in a coop outside. I also have four bantam cochins in their own little coop. Even though I work full time, it's the evening shift, so I still have some quality time for my flock. I look forward to interacting with all you chicken people out there.
