I am new to this site, and new to chickens. Our coop and running area is ready to go, so now we are looking for chickens. I have done lots of research and know what I want. Just can't seem to find any local. Don't want babies since we are new to the scene. Never thought it would be this difficult to find some.

You might also check your local craigslist too as many times people are selling birds there. There are hatcheries that sell started birds as well. I believe Murray McMurray sells started pullets. You could always share an order with someone you find in your state thread if they require a large bird order.
