Hi all,
My family is new to chickens. My daughter recently bought three chicks from the feed store for a 4-H project. Two buff orpingtons and a silver laced wyandotte. Our original plan was to let her get one, so it seems we are already subject to "chicken math". We live in town, but our town has no restrictions on chickens... I can already see "chicken math" becoming a bit of a problem in the future LOL!!! Right now the chicks are a little more than a week old, and we never get tired of watching them. So far they are healthy & happy. We're itching for the winter to go away so we can start on their outdoor home (not that we really even want them out of the house!). Ever since I was a kid I wanted to bring home some little fuzzballs from the feed store, but it was never allowed. I'm so happy that I'm able to give my daughter the joy of it... she absolutely loves them. Their names are Sylvia (SLW), Petra, and Lily (BOs).
