Hello! I am a school teacher/coach in a very small town in Texas. My wife and I thought maybe having a bird or two would be fun for the kids, and we started researching chickens and what not to get the best bird for our home. Im really new to the chicken thing so anything you guys could help me with would be a big help. Thank you for your help!!!!

Maybe some of you can help me out. I would like to have about 3 Buff orpington hens, around all the time. I bought my daughter some easter chicks I think the are Rockwell hens. and am raising them as chicks. I cant have them be real agro with my daughter... anybody have a say on the best chickens with toddlers and I put up a coop but would be looking for a forever place.....again thank you for any help

I did a lot of research no chickens but anything you have would be welcome
