Otherwise, incubating actually is pretty straightforward.
You'll need a hygrometer/thermometer to verify the settings of your incubator. I have four incubators, and not one is spot on.
Temp throughout the hatching: 99.5°F
Humidity days 1-18: around 50%
Candle around Day 7 to remove any that were unfertilized or experienced early deaths.
Candle at lockdown (Day 18). Stop the rotation.
Days 18 - hatch: 70% humidity
Chicks can take up to 24 hours to hatch after pipping, so don't intercede; they're resting.
Leave chicks in the incubator after hatching until they are walking around and fluffy.
