Hello my name is Jenn and I am from Connecticut.
Here is a bit more about me.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? - Yes, well I have 5 Indian runner ducks. I got them just 12wks ago.
(2) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? - I love communities and forums that pertain to the area I am looking to improve. Being new to the poultry world I was doing a search on a few questions (feed, predators etc.) and this page continues to come up. I think it is awesome to be able seek advice from others who have experienced what we are wanting to learn about.
(3) What are some of your other hobbies? I work a full time job as an event planner and work from home. On the side I work on metal art. We have a fabrication shop and I create signs, decor made out of steel that I sell on etsy. we have a very large garden where I spend a lot of time in the summer months canning. This year we just grew Horseradish and cant wait to see how it comes out.
(4) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share - I live with my boyfriend who owns a fabrication shop and works full time as a welder. We have over 25 goats, beef cows, donkeys and our 14 year old bulldog. The Ducks are the newest addition to our animal family.
I look forward to getting to know others and becoming apart of a great community.
