hello! how is the craic

Have been doing as much research as I have a chance to get to. I took 8 rescue chickens, ex batts, I had no idea the world of egg production was so incredibly screwed and cruel. I lost 2 already, they dropped dead. The remaining 6 seem strong, but we will see. I have no run built and am all confused as to the best thing to do.I am in the wilds in West Cork Ireland

I don't know what predators you have but, your hens need a protected area. Please check out the coops section and the predator thread for advice. Thank you for rescuing these poor birds. I know they will blossom under your care.

unfortunately 2nd person let me down today and didn't turn up to build the run, so I have contacted someone else who should come tomorrow,very annoying when you are trying to pay people to do a job and the just don't show
