Oh, @MTChickyMama, my roosters are never allowed to meet without a fenced run between them.

Billy Boy, a little Cochin Bantam jerk, will dash up to the run where Sir Henry the Loud lives and challenge him. Sir Henry has never shown any aggression to people, but he is a full-sized Iowa Blue rooster who would decimate the annoying smaller boy if given a chance. He is only kept in a run (with a couple of girls) because Sir Henry is a very rowdy boy and is much too large to be allowed to mate with some of the smaller hens that free range during the day.

Reminds me of the old Robert Frost quote: "Good fences make good neighbors." There is no problem as long as each boy is on his own side.
