Hi All,
I am not an owner of chickens but my landlord is. I have cared for them on occasion. I noticed they have a problem. I told my landlord that they looked sick and he tried using Diatomaceous Earth thinking the problem might be mites. This didn't help them. There are no feathers in the coop and this leaves me to believe they are eating them. I fed them Tuna and they went nuts for it.
My landlord says he is feeding them high quality feed but I think there must be something they are missing in their diet. Protein maybe?
They also have big lumps under their skin. I don't know what this could be. They have ulcer like leisions too. It's not pretty and is very worrysome. It mist be painful.
He is not taking them to the vet so I am hoping somebody can give me some idea as to what's wrong so I can tell him. And he can help them.
Thanks for your help!
