Hi, my name is Kathy Doolittle from Kansas. I am new here, and enjoying the forum very much. I have chickens, ducks, turkey, giunies, and peafowl. And I am always learning new things about them. Since being diagnoised with cancer in 2008 and going through chemo, the doctors will not let me work. But I am doing great I think, lol. My husband and I decided since I enjoy the birds so much to start raising them. We live on an old ostrich farm so have the buildings and pens to do so. And in time maybe that will help with our income, cause no's we can use the help. As my med's are over $3000 a month now. Which we cannot afford so I do without them alot. And maybe next spring we can start making some money on raising the babies. We do make some on eggs at this time. And I really love watching them and taking care of them. I have lost on due to the heat, but I do all I can to avoid anymore loses. I am very happy to be part of this forum. Thanks to everyone.
