Good afternoon,

My name is Maggie and I live is Boise, ID. I have entertained the idea of having a backyard flock for about a year and yesterday I FINALLY did it!! I came home with a Polish Crested, Arucana, and a Cuckoo Maran. And the little chicken nuggets are doing just fine

. By Monday I will be adding a cream Legbar and a Bielefelder, and Wednesday a Welsummer. I can't wait for all the colorful eggs!
 
Welcome to BYC, Maggie. Glad you decided join to our flock. Congratulations on the new chickens. Just be sure that you have the coop/run space for that many chickens as overcrowding can quickly lead to aggression, fighting, biting and feather plucking, and even cannibalism. You're definitely going to have a colorful egg basket. In my personal opinion, the chocolate eggs of the Cuckoo Marans are the prettiest eggs in the chicken world.
