Absolutely! As a kid who touched a hot wire on the farm I grew up on I can attest a hot wire will send them on their way!

Outdid you. Was netting bait fish standing in a creek. A rock was wired to a hotwire pulling it down so that the cattle could not sneak out through the creek bed. Bumped it with my bare back. Ended up face down in the creek. BAM !!!! I have had a great respect for electricity ever since.

Welcome to BYC! I buy hardware cloth from Amazon. Its always been good quality and it arrives quickly. I use 19ga 1/2".

As suggested, use 1/2" 19ga hardware cloth. I also suggest taking a look at Amazon resale (used to be called Amazon warehouse), sometimes you can find good deals on there.

Hello! Welcome to BYC! The 1/2 inch 19 gauge hardware cloth is sufficient. I would check Amazon and Ebay. If my memory serves me right I think I bought it off Ebay the cheapest. Worth checking both. Good luck with your flock! They are nice looking birds!

That is about what I paid for the same size and length. I think it all comes from the same place! lol I may have gotten it from Temu too been a while ago!
