In the Brooder
I currently only have one black australorp rooster, but we are getting him some new girlfriends next year (a weasel, or something else attacked all our 6 hens one night and he was the only one to survive
but we had 3 brahmahs and 3 red stars) We started our flock in 2019 and the rooster was our newest edition
I love having them as little friends, while also helping mom cut back costs on food at the same time
I love drawing and playing guitar as well, I like playing guitar for my chickens
I have two cats and a hermit crab, me and my family have a garden and we, of course, love to raise chickens! My mom and her dad (my grandpa) used to work in chicken houses and raised them by the thousands! And I want to do that, but of course on a much smaller scale ^^' I like to be able to name each chicken and get to know them, they are as similar as most common pets to me, and I like training the roosters to do things like come when called and do tricks (our current rooster, who's name is coal, is trained to do these things and I am teaching him more! I have only had him for two years now, I raised him from a little chick all by myself for once
)
I saw BYC when I was looking on google to see if there was anything wrong with my rooster because his comb randomly got all floppy and pale, and I have seen BYC before but I thought sence I now have my own personal email I could make an account!
